I work with adolescents and adults who have recently discovered they are Autistic and/or ADHD, as well as those who are further along in their journey and experiencing particular life stressors, trauma, etc.
Developing a meaningful therapeutic alliance, built on trust, respect and the co-creation of meaning is really important to me. I am trained in a wide variety of therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). However, I work in a integrative way, which means tailoring therapy to fit each client and their unique story, strengths and challenges.
I have worked in numerous clinical settings, including HSE Child and Adolescent Mental Health; HSE Adult Mental Health; Brothers of Charity Services for both school-aged children and adults; Tusla Child and Family Agency; and St Patrick’s Mental Health Services.
My interests outside of work include my gorgeous cats, reading and travel.
