I am a fully accredited Adolescent and Adult Psychotherapist with the IACP, and I have been practicing psychotherapy for over two decades. In my neuro-affirming practice I celebrate the diversity of human neurology, providing compassionate counselling to both adults & adolescents.
I support individuals as they explore their unique neurotypes (Autism and ADHD being the most common) thereby fostering growth, understanding & wellbeing.
In supporting parents of neurodivergent children there is still widespread misunderstanding about the various conditions this term includes and in some cases harmful prejudices leave parents anxious about starting an assessment or receiving a diagnosis. I aim to help you make sense of your feelings and work out how to support the emotional needs of your child as they learn to celebrate their uniqueness
working with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including:
✅ Anxiety & Depression – Finding ways to manage overwhelming thoughts and emotions.
✅ Bereavement & Grief – Supporting you through loss and change.
✅ Relationships – Navigating difficulties with partners, family, or friends.
✅ Neurodiversity – Providing a neuro-affirming space for autistic and neurodivergent adults.
✅ Sexuality & LGBTQ+ Journey – Offering a supportive space for exploration and self-acceptance.
Hello,
I’m a late identified autistic parent.
I originally trained as a children’s counseller in primary schools before qualifying as a Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist in 2016. This training was Jungian and Psychodynamic based and involved working in CAMHS. I currently work from a social model of disability perspective and from within the neurodiversity paradigm.
I work at The Bridge Foundation in Bristol offering individual and parent group work, alongside being the lead in the Autism Assessment team for children and young people, offering neuro affirming assessments and reports.
Through Fledge Psychotherapy I’ve offered peer support to Autistic Parents UK and host workshops and sessions with Thriving Autistic.
I’ve taught on post graduate courses for trainee psychotherapists, and led an introductory course on psychotherapy.
