Support worker for autistic adults with accompanying intellectual disabilities who live in self supported direct living (ssdl)
Hi, I am Ashley. I am a late diagnosed (at 42) AuDHD mother to three beautiful Neurodiverse children. In addition to momming full time… I am a coach, energy worker, meditation teacher and breathwork facilitator. I am living in Ireland for 3 years, moved here from Colorado in the US with my Irish husband.
I am a final-year PhD candidate at the Department of English and American Studies at Masaryk University in the Czech Republic. My interdisciplinary research is rooted in disability studies and neurodiversity studies, with a particular focus on the representation of neurodivergence in popular genre fiction and media. My dissertation explores how autism is portrayed in contemporary popular romance, with emphasis on novels by autistic authors.
I work in a neuroaffirming way supporting people with health and eating challenges as a dietitian.
As a psychotherapist I support people to understand themselves better, moving forward towards full self acceptance. This transformational journey is like a butterfly emerging, becoming or reclaiming the real you.
I am a Neuroaffirmative IACP fully Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist, Supervisor and Educator, working with both adults and adolescence.
