Short bio: Choosing a counsellor isn’t easy, especially with just a picture (no, I don’t know what that expression is either, but I hate having my photo taken and it was the best I could do!), some qualifications and a few sentences to go on, but hopefully this will give you a better idea if I’m the right one for you!
I’m warm, friendly & down to earth. I’m neither mystical nor aloof & am committed to building a relationship with you that allows you to be open, honest & feel safe enough to explore yourself, your world & your problems.
I’m a fully qualified, experienced, Person-centred Counsellor and am a Senior Accredited Member of the BACP. Over the years, I have worked as a counsellor in fourteen different settings, including the NHS, third sector organisations, Employee Assistance Programmes & in colleges and schools.
I have worked with people on a very wide range of issues, including: general anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks, family & relationship problems, depression, abuse, racism, LGBTQI+ issues, problems at work or university, bereavement, and issues around neurodiversity (I am autistic myself!).
