It’s 2024 and most of us know we can do better than ABA. In fact, the only people who promote ABA at this stage are those who work in the industry and the unfortunate parents who thought they were doing what was best for their child.
Join AUsome Training founder Evaleen Whelton and Gillian Kearns, co-founder of Neuro Pride Ireland and early childhood educator, along with Nem Kearns of Disabled Women Ireland and co-founder of Neuro Pride Ireland for a lively discussion on the harms of ABA and what we can do instead.
Both Gillian and Nem, along with other staunch advocates addressed The Joint Oirechtas Committee on Disability Matters in February 2023. They will share the importance of the outcomes of that report on ABA (Applied Behavioural Analysis ) and PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) in an Irish context but also how it is relevant for other countries.
When: Thursday March 14th 7-9pm Irish Time
